Description
Perunika (herbaceous, saber, saber, saber, lynx, saber, lat. Iris), the genus of plants is from the class of one-knot belonging to the Iridaceae family, together with gladiolus genera (Gladiolus) and saffron (Crocus), permanently green with pods and tubers. The flowering time is from May to July.
In 2000 he was proclaimed a Croatian national flower at the proposal of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
The name originates from the name of the Greek goddess long, the voice of the gods of Iris (Greek - long), and our name comes from the name of the supreme Staroslavian god of the Peruvian jumper and his wife, the goddess of Perunica. Goddess Iris is like a goddess of the gods, tall carp with height, transmitting the message to Earth. Where would rainbow touched the ground, as well as lightning thunder god Perun, has grown iris, perhaps every time a different color.
