Description
The only preserved pavilion in the Maksimir Park, known as the Latern-tempel, was erected after 1840 according to Franz Schücht's draft. On the twelve-pillar stone foot of the wooden rocks, they are separated by half-caps with caps of stylized leaves. The rocks are punctured with ten semi-circular windows and two entrances. The Jewel Pavilion is a common repertoire of early Romanesque monuments with symbolic significance of the conquest of Mount Nymph. The pavilion is built in honor of the goddess Eho, so it particularly successfully combines and rejects the sounds, making it a special attraction that is contained in its name. The Pavilion was renewed in 2001 by the Public Institution "Maksimir".
