Description
Forsythia belongs to the family olive trees and very well adapt to almost any type of soil. It is resistant to cold. It can grow in sun or shade and in various types of soil but beautiful blooms and grows if the soil is loose and semi-sunny side of the garden.
There are many types of forsythia. Hybrid species are often planted in our area. Forsythia intermedia is a hybrid species of forsythia. With regard to the species that grow in height or less bush choose depending on where you are going to plant in the garden. Some species may use one as a hedge.
The flowers appear before the leaves in early spring.
Bush is an ideal plant along the edges of the lawn but far enough away from fences or as a stand-alone shrub. Hybrid species can grow from 2.5 -3.0 m in height and width and can be classified as large shrubs. Due to luxuriant growth needs to be cropping each year to maintain the basic shape of the bush.
Propagation is by cuttings or creeping branches.
