Description
Pyracantha Coccinea is a bush for all seasons, but particularly interesting in the autumn-winter period when it produces extremely ornamental fruits in yellow, orange or coral red.
It enables the introduction of color and wealth in the garden parts that during the winter due to dormancy become unpleasant. The fruits of this bush often remain on the plant until the beginning of spring. The flowering begins in May. The flowers are also very decorative, small and grouped in floral white colors. The flowers develop small fruits that are initially green and late in the summer depending on the variety to take the final color. In addition to the wonderful fruits, a plant characterized by extremely thorny spikes - the name of which is fire.

Beautiful capture, Jasna! It reminds me of the Hawthorne bushes that used to grow in my grandparents garden in England, because they had such a fragrant perfume in spite of the thorny spikes. Maybe this is another name for them. L/F

Many thanks Hazel! This gets a lot of red berries after flowering. I do not know if it's the same. :)
