Description
There are about 125 species of deciduous and trained trees and shrubs found in the woods, shrubs and river banks of the Himalayas to Eastern and South-East Asia, and from the eastern part of North America to the tropical regions of North and South America. Today they are bred in all parts of the world because of their beautiful individual, scented, usually upright, sometimes hanging or horizontal flowers. The shape of flowers varies from squamous, pelvic, gastric to starry shapes. Flowers often bloom before the leaves appear, and they can be wholly white, pinkish or purple, husky, purple, cramped, greenish, greenish, light to medium yellow. Knot-like fruits often have a red wrapper around the seeds and look very attractive in the fall.
