Description
Park which is an indispensable part of tourist visits, both in summer and winter. Zrinski Square was given its current name in 1866. where previously called New TERGI. Park at Zrinski Square was officially opened on 14 June 1873 the place where used to be periodically maintained cattle fair (in 1870 he moved to the market square that today Marshal Tito Square). Place before the park was muddy and unfinished land. The then city fathers decided to edit this part of Zagreb, on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the victory in the defense of Siget and the anniversary of death Croatian giant Nikola Zrinski. Thus, from the muddy and unsightly land this part of Zagreb has become a favorite promenade and after more than 100 years remained a favorite part of the city where citizens and tourists can sit down and rest.
